Adrian Isaac's BEM: 25 years of woods for Boston
Adrian Isaac, founder and chair of the Boston Woods Trust, received the British Empire Medal in the 2026 Birthday Honours for services to the environment, after a quarter-century creating accessible woods and parkland around the Lincolnshire town.

Adrian Isaac was awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2026 Birthday Honours, recognised as "founder and chair, Boston Woods Trust, for services to the environment."
Since 2001 the Boston Woods Trust has created accessible woods and parkland around the east side of Boston, Lincolnshire. Over twenty-five years Isaac led its growth from the original Westgate Wood to a network that now includes Sir Joseph Banks Country Park, Fenside Woods and Dion's Wood Nature Reserve, and he has built a volunteer team to carry the work on beyond his own leadership.
His award sits among the 2026 Birthday Honours List. Read the Trust's announcement here.
