James Gurling was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2015 Birthday Honours, recognised as a "member, executive committee, Liberal Democrats, for political service."
A communications professional with more than thirty years in public affairs, Gurling now brings that experience to the Cathedral Music Trust as a member of its development committee. The Trust works to promote and sustain cathedral music across the UK, supporting sacred choral and organ music through grants, programmes and a network of trustees, committee members and volunteers.
