Jay Singh-Sohal's OBE: remembering the Sikh soldiers of the world wars
Captain Jay Singh-Sohal, an Army reservist who helped institute a memorial to the Sikh troops of the world wars at the National Memorial Arboretum, was made an OBE in the 2025 Birthday Honours for voluntary service.

Captain Jay Singh-Sohal of the Intelligence Corps, an Army reservist, was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2025 Birthday Honours for voluntary work. As chair of the WW1 Sikh Memorial Fund he helped institute a memorial to the Sikh troops of the world wars at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
"My hope is that young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds like mine are inspired by those who serve," the 42-year-old said.
