Dr Mark Stuart OBE: the pharmacist keeping sport clean
Dr Mark Stuart was appointed OBE in the 2026 Birthday Honours for services to the pharmacy profession in sport and to anti-doping, after more than two decades advising athletes and UK Anti-Doping on medicines in sport.

Dr Mark Stuart was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2026 Birthday Honours, recognised for his services to the pharmacy profession in sport and to anti-doping.
A pharmacist at the heart of clean sport
A pharmacist by training, Mark has spent more than two decades where medicine meets sport. Since 2002 he has supported UK Anti-Doping as the UK pharmacist expert in drugs in sport for Global DRO - the resource athletes and their support staff use to check whether a medication is permitted in competition.
A global contribution
His work has helped athletes around the world avoid inadvertent doping and has helped keep competition clean - an extraordinary contribution to global sport, pharmacy and fair play.
The OBE sits among the 2026 Birthday Honours List.
